5-star ratings and full shopping baskets - what shop operator doesn't want that? To enable our customers to launch digital stores into space that shine brighter than the others, we work closely with Shopware as an official partner. Denis Neufeld - our Partner Manager at Shopware - knows which of our strengths Shopware relies on and what will be important for B2C and B2B in the future.

Denis, how did the mission with you and the Crew begin?

Although ONEDOT has been active in the Shopware universe since 2014, we only really became aware of them last year - thanks to their outstanding work on the Bernstein Badshop, which I personally liked very much. ONEDOT proved itself with a first-class UX and a stylish UI and was also honoured as Shopware Shop of the Month on UXme.io. This signalled the start of more intensive discussions.

How do e-commerce customers benefit from such a partnership?

An official partnership means that ONEDOT has direct access to us - we call in the relevant consulting or technical resources when the customer needs it, can respond to special requests and thus get the most out of the individual solution. ONEDOT excels in the areas of UX/UI, which fits perfectly with the possibilities of our flexible CMS - which is why our customers get the best of both worlds here: Technology and UX.

Apart from the strength in the UX/UI area - what else do you appreciate about ONEDOT as a partner?

I always appreciate partners who are proactive on the other side. ONEDOT is a young and fresh agency that gets things moving and is committed - they don't sit down and say: If you don't deliver anything to me as a manufacturer, then we won't do anything either. What's more, we always talk to each other honestly and as equals. I can feel the Crew concept, which ONEDOT is also committed to, through and through in our collaboration - they are approachable, transparent and honest.

Why is this partnership strategically important for you?

ONEDOT is one of the agencies we want to work with in the future. This is also due to the fact that they - like us - are interested in long-term customer relationships. The background of being a holistic agency with expertise in brand management, content, user experience and technology also points to the future, because shops today and tomorrow simply have to differentiate themselves even more on all levels and deliver a pleasant, first-class experience. Simply providing a technically correct interface no longer even works for B2B.

What do you think the ideal shop of the future will look like - which aspects will be important?

In fact, we are seeing an increasing awareness, particularly in the B2B sector, that shops are not only being built to be functional, but are also increasingly catering to their target group in a more individual and emotional way. These topics are nothing new in themselves - they have been around for a long time and everyone knows it, but only now is the will to actually implement them becoming apparent. For us, topics such as the use of AI and ‘guided shopping’ are at the top of the agenda in order to offer a user experience that is in no way inferior to the personal experience of a physical store.

Will there soon be a shop of the future that you are realising with ONEDOT?

We recently won a project that also involves more complex special developments and interfaces - the Crew can show off their technological expertise here, and I'm already looking forward to it. Apart from that, ONEDOT is currently creating a UX for the National Geographic Apparel shop that fully meets the current expectations of the brand and customers. I think it's still a challenge for many customers to launch a shop that deserves five stars in terms of user experience - the Crew helps with all their diverse man and womanpower.
