What makes working at our agency special? When asked about the working atmosphere and culture of our company, the ONEDOT Crew was unanimous: we are a proud ‘Great Place to Work’.

ONEDOT has been a certified Great Place to Work® since October 2021, a ‘great place to work’. This certification is valid for one year.
Anyone entering the ONEDOT office in Michelstadt will recognise at first glance that the atmosphere here is not that of a typical open-plan office. Is this due to the open-plan design or the mixed dress code from hoodies to jeans and sports trousers? Do the seating area, games console, table tennis table and pull-up bar make a difference?
All these elements certainly play their part in creating an exceptional working environment. But far more important is the part that you only notice at second glance in our agency. A feeling that every crew member starts their work with every day. A cohesion that extends across cities, federal states and national borders and gives us the same identity at every location and in every home office.
The keyword is: crew culture
We are passionate about our agency because everyone can be a part of the corporate culture here. Constructive feedback can make a big difference and creative, humorous ideas for organising everyday working life are always welcome. In order to bridge the distance between different work locations, teams come together in weekly video call meetings for professional and general dialogue.
Special events help us to create the indispensable closeness and encounters that are often lost in the context of digital collaboration - seeing colleagues' faces not just on screen, but in real life. For the ONEDOT Summer Party 2021, crew members from all over Hesse, the crew from Leipzig and even the team of UX experts from Sofia were invited to Michelstadt to work together for a week, celebrate and get to know each other.

Great Place to Work® - what does the certification mean?
The ‘Great Place to Work® Certified’ certification programme comes from the research and consulting institute of the same name and stands for a special commitment to shaping workplace culture. In this way, Great Place to Work® supports employers internationally in further developing the quality of work and increasing employer attractiveness. In Germany, around 400 companies are currently certified as Great Place to Work®.
The certification, which is valid for one year, is based on an analysis of the company's HR work and an anonymised employee survey, which is conducted online in a secure procedure. We therefore owe our status as a Great Place to Work® not only to the external assessment, but above all to the positive feedback from the ONEDOT crew. However, the process is not only used to certify companies, but also to objectively assess the current quality of the workplace and how it can be improved. The strengths and weaknesses uncovered in the process help ONEDOT to further develop the company and its HR work.
‘Great’ enough or is there more to come in the future?
For ONEDOT as an employer, ‘greatness’ is based above all on fairness and a relationship at eye level, in addition to the crew culture. For us, great trust and a high level of personal responsibility characterise the way we work and approach tasks. In the relaxed and collegial atmosphere, productivity and creativity come about without coercion. By creating as much room for change and variety as possible, our customers can look forward to a consistently high level of basic motivation among the crew.
But there is always room for improvement: With the Great Place to Work® certification comes the requirement and responsibility to maintain and improve the high standard of satisfaction among our employees. The fact that many of us work on a decentralised basis does not make it easy to form a strong community and a sense of cohesion. The current situation brings additional restrictions and prevents, for example, a Christmas party from taking place in 2021. We are therefore creating alternatives with regular digital meetings and look forward to seeing the assembled crew again in summer 2022.
Fittingly, ONEDOT wants to be a certified Great Place to Work® again after the end of the 2021-2022 term. Until then, we will set ourselves new goals to strengthen our unique corporate culture, working conditions and the satisfaction of all crew members.
